I originally got involved in the breed ring and therapy work when my son went off to college in 2002. In 2003, I began training TDI and CGC classes at the Mt. Pleasant Kennel Club. At that time, I had 2 TDI certified dogs (1 Golden Retriever and 1 Boston Terrier). I was involved in a children’s reading program called Dog Tales and other dog visting activities.

I started agility in 2004 and loved it. When I moved to Cortez Colorado in 2005, I quickly joined the Montezuma Agility Club and regularly competed in agility trials in Colorado, New Mexico and Texas. When I moved back to Minnesota in 2011, I took a couple of classes at SPDTC but found it difficult with no yard to practice on. In 2014 when I got a yard back, I started taking weekly agility classes and found myself back in the agility ring competing in AKC trials. I am working on my first ever MACH with GiGi my Boston Terrier.

Last April, I decided to get a puppy and chose a border collie. Why not? Lets do this. He has been a great addition to our family and I look forward to competing with him in the agility ring soon. It is a pleasure a part of the SPDTC community and also serve on the Board for SPDTC.
